Description

These beautiful blue goldstone and Swarovski earrings were a true joy to make. I bought these beads last year at a gem and rock fair and the design is completely my own. It seems I have a tendency towards spirals so I definitely wanted to incorporate that into the final design. Overall, these earrings are truly a perfect versatile accessory. They will go with any outfit and will add a touch of fun and class to your day.

I made these earrings using silver-plated copper wire wrapped into a loose spiral cage around the beads with a tiny spiral feature at the bottom. I then added lovely Swarovski round beads as connectors to the hand-formed earrings hooks. I wanted everything to complement the piece so I chose a light blue colour for the Swarovski beads which I think truly bring out the beauty of this stone.

Fun facts

This stone is man-made and its lovely sparkle comes from flecks of copper. It is thought to be a stone which promotes vitality and has healing properties thanks to the copper inside it which it associated with soothing joint pain and reducing stomach complaints resulting from anxiety.
